If you're considering penile filler, one of your first questions is likely to be: how long will the result actually last?

The simple answer is that penile filler isn't permanent.

Hyaluronic acid filler is gradually broken down by the body over time. How long your individual result lasts can vary depending on the type and volume of filler used, your body and lifestyle.

At Alpha Male Clinic, we discuss expected longevity as part of your consultation, so you understand what you can realistically expect before deciding whether to proceed.

How long can you expect penile filler to last?

As a general guide, Alpha Male Clinic advises that its 15ml treatment typically lasts around 12 months, while higher-volume treatments can last up to 24 months or longer depending on the filler used.

These aren't expiry dates.

Filler doesn't suddenly disappear after 12 or 24 months. Instead, hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body, meaning the change in girth reduces over time.

Research into hyaluronic acid penile filler has also demonstrated that increases in girth can remain measurable beyond a year after treatment, although individual results and the products and techniques studied vary.

That's why we give patients a realistic range rather than promising that a particular result will last for an exact amount of time.

What affects how long penile filler lasts?

Several factors can influence longevity.

The filler selected and the amount used both matter. Alpha Male Clinic works with different filler options, allowing treatment to be tailored to your anatomy, goals and the characteristics we're looking for from the product.

Your body will also naturally metabolise hyaluronic acid at its own rate.

Sexual activity can play a role too. More frequent or vigorous activity may contribute to filler breaking down more quickly.

This is one reason two men receiving similar treatment shouldn't necessarily expect their results to change at exactly the same rate.

Does more filler mean it lasts longer?

Not quite. Higher-volume treatment plans at Alpha Male Clinic are associated with longer expected longevity, but that doesn't mean the right approach is simply to use as much filler as possible.

Volume is a clinical decision.

Dr Mustafa Ganijee takes your anatomy, existing girth, goals and expectations into account before recommending a treatment plan. In some cases, a more conservative starting volume may be appropriate.

The aim is a proportionate result that works with your anatomy – not simply the greatest possible volume.

Not sure whether this applies to you?

The self-assessment takes about a minute and is reviewed by a doctor before your consultation.

Take the assessment

What happens when penile filler starts to wear off?

Because hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down, the result should reduce over time rather than simply disappearing overnight.

Some patients choose to have further treatment as volume decreases. Others are happy to allow the filler to continue breaking down naturally.

There is no obligation to maintain your result indefinitely.

If you're considering further treatment, we can review how your previous filler has settled before deciding whether adding more is appropriate.

Can penile filler be reversed?

One reason Alpha Male Clinic uses hyaluronic acid filler is that it isn't permanent.

It can also be dissolved if clinically appropriate.

Alpha Male Clinic offers correction or full dissolving within four weeks of treatment, giving patients access to the same doctor for follow-up if the result hasn't settled as hoped.

As with the initial procedure, any correction or reversal should be clinically assessed rather than treated as an automatic next step.

A realistic conversation before treatment

Dr Mustafa Ganijee, Founder of Alpha Male Clinic, said:

Longevity is understandably important to patients, but I don't think it should be considered in isolation.

The amount and type of filler need to be right for the individual patient. I would rather take a measured approach and review the result than use more filler simply because somebody believes it will last longer.

Before treatment, we'll explain what you can realistically expect, how the filler changes over time and what your options are further down the line. There shouldn't be any surprises.
